New Munk Duane Band Release Set For August 2012
The full-length follow up to 2011 debut EP “Everywhere Is South Of Somewhere” is underway and targeting an August release.
I’ve been busy piecing together song ideas over the past few months, while testing the waters playing a bunch of solo acoustic shows. I’m hoping to wrap up writing by the end of June and get the guys in to do their magic in July.
I’m hoping to get more of a Delta/Bluesy/rootsy vibe for this one, though there will still be plenty of tips of the hat to Country and Americana.
The working title for the new release is “The Cred”, but be ready for that to change at the drop of a hat. The release will be available digitally in iTunes, Amazon and other digital outlets. As with the debut, there will be a limited number of physical CDs until they run out (no re-pressings).

Full Munk Duane Catalog Finally Available On Spotify
“Everywhere is South of Somewhere” was officially released back in October 2011, so we’re pretending that we’re time travelers… Munk Duane Band’s debut EP just arrived on Spotify (late March 2012).
Diving even deeper into the temporal annomolly that is Spotify, The entire [munk] back catalog is also now available. Listen to “Anime Sweetheart”, “Severed” and “Modest Among The Living” and ignore the fact that Spotify included the albums in the catalog of a German DJ named Munk.
Though the wait and the horrible misclassification is painful, the fact that you get access to everything on the burgeoning platform is kind of cool.
