A host of Boston area heavy hitters are adding to the arsenal of experience and talent on “Argue With Gravity”.  MDB drummer Mike Levesque, who has played with David Bowie, Seven Mary Three, Natalie Imbruglia, Dave Navarro and The Candy Butchers, has turned in his signature amazing grooves. Guitarist Tony Savarino, who played on the MDB debut release “Everywhere Is South of Somewhere”, is back with his beautiful “Keith Richards meets Nashville Honky Tonk” color. Savarino also plays with Boston power house band Garvy J and has been featured in Guitar World and Guitar Player For The Practicing Musician, among many others. With the addition of new MDB member Steve Benson on pedal steel guitar, lap steel and mandolin, the sound of “Argue With Gravity” has taken on new emotional depth…

“It’s not quite as upbeat as the last album.” explain singer/songwriter/guitarist Munk Duane. “This one is more about being an emotional touchstone for what most average Americans are experiencing in 2013. As positive as we’d like to be, there seems to be a futility that pervades our day-to-day psyches. We’re trying, we’re fighting, but in spite of that, life seems harder than ever before as we’re faced with economic and social challenges and horrors the likes of which haven not been seen in this country. I tried to balance the ups and downs and the longing for simplicity in the tone of this album. It’s a slice of the modern American story.”

The band is currently talking to labels, publishers and PR folks, seeking to build a Marketing team as formidable as the musical team bringing “Argue With Gravity” to life.

The video for “Walk Between The Snowflakes”, a song dedicated to the men and women in the Military away from their families this holiday season, was viewed over 500 times on YouTube during the brief week and a half from launch on 12/15 to Christmas Day. Emotional comments and messages from soldiers and their families, along with rapid sharing, made the song and video a great viral success in a very short period.

Munk Duane Band’s set list will consist of songs from their 2011 EP “Everywhere is South of Somewhere” as well as songs from his previous solo releases. There will also be a sneak preview from the upcoming 2013 release “Argue With Gravity”.

International Pop Overthrow (or IPO, as it has affectionately become known) is a pop music festival which features the best pop and rock bands from around the world. The festival takes place annually in several U.S. cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, San Diego, Phoenix, Detroit, Milwaukee, Austin and Dallas as well as in Vancouver and Toronto, Canada, and Liverpool and London, UK.

Munk Duane Band are Munk Duane (vocals, guitar), Tony Savarino (guitar), Sean McLaughlin (bass) and Mike Levesque (drums).

Icarus Shreducation is the Premier Snowboard and Freeski Coaching program in Canada, focusing on a high-flying reach for the top of the snowboard world for a team of talented young riders lead by former pro Jesse Fulton. The classroom is where the tour takes them on their globe-trotting journey.

Sean, who is an Instructor at New England Institute of Art, also owns 37′ Productions in Rockland MA. He has worked with notable producers, such as Andy Johns and Jumbo Barton, and artists including Rush, Elliot Smith and Marilyn Manson.

Mike also has a very impressive resume, having recorded and performed with David Bowie, Seven Mary Three, Dave Navarro, Candy Butchers and Natalie Imbruglia, to name a few.
